Not only did Stu attend the School of Homesteading in 1976, he was the
first instructor in 1978 at the Land Trust Homesteading Farm, and pioneered
the notion of university employed homestead instructor on a farmed out
junk yard of a thirty six acre farm just donated to newly-formed non-profit
Michigan Land Trustees of America.
