Building Community Self-Reliance - Reskilling Workshop

Eighty people attended this first Reskilling program with workshops that included:  Green housing with Thom Phillips, Sustainable Building Specialist for Habitat for Humanity of Michigan; Composting and Compost tea with Dane of Flowerfield Enterprises; a panel discussion on Planting for the Future with Tom Small, Wild Ones of Kalamazoo, Norm Bober on forest gardening and PJ Chmiel on permaculture; Bee Keeping with Mike Phillips; Fermentation: preparing healthy foods with live cultures such as sauerkraut, yogurt, etc. with Shawna Greenway; and a Medicinal and Wild Edible Plant Identification walk with Rita Bober.
