Where aproximately 15-20 folks assisted in planting 175 lbs of garlic
in beds on about 1/4 acre. As part of our mission, we plan to
support new and existing farmers using organic principles with
micro-loans to help them establish their farms or to become locally
viable in helping supply local food. Profits from the sale of the
garlic will be used to support these micro-loans. MLT Board member Dennis Wilcox formulated this program and this kick off and is featured in the 1st picture:
